This year may have been the last Christmas on De Castro Street!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After a few years on DeCastro Street in Road Town, Tortola, the annual cultural showcase currently known as ‘Christmas on DeCastro Street’ is facing a venue shift. The event was formally known as Christmas on Main Street, until it was relocated to DeCastro Street some three years ago.
Off to a good start! Xmas on DeCastro St attracts 50 vendors
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- City Manager Janice E. L. Brathwaite-Edwards said the Christmas on DeCastro Street event is off to a good start, with its largest-ever vendor turnout of 50.
Pushed-Out again! No vending allowed under RT Roundabout Tree
ROAD TOWN Tortola, VI- The ‘Little Man’, a phrase coined by the Opposition Virgin Islands Party (VIP), continues to catch hell under the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP). It was last year September 2016 that a tree next to the Wickham’s Cay Service Station was cut down to discourage local men from sitting under there.
UPDATE: 22 vendors support 1st night of Xmas on deCastro St
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Some 22 vendors looked past the devastating effects of Hurricane Irma and turned up to help ring in the spirit of Christmas on the opening night of the 2017 Christmas on deCastro Street, now in its 19th year and previously known as Christmas on Main Street before relocating to its present space.
