‘The [airport] runway expansion will happen’- Premier Wheatley
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The extension of the runway at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport has been talked about for a long time and governments after governments have failed to deliver for different reasons; however, the Government led by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), which has already brought back American Airlines to the [British] Virgin Islands, is determined to get the project done.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - On previous occasions, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1), Leader of the Opposition, was in support of the airport runway extension project at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport, being delayed and stated that the Virgin Islands (VI) could not afford such a project; however; during his address at the 2017 Territorial Day celebrations, the Opposition leader, for the first time expressed his support for the airport expansion to start now.
