Three more Smart Community Centres handed over to VI
SEA COWS BAY, Tortola, VI- Marking a significant breakthrough in recovery efforts following the 2017 hurricanes, the Government of the Virgin Islands is now the recipient of three state-of-the-art Smart Community Centres.

THE SETTLEMENT, Anegada, VI- It was at the Standing Finance Committee (SFC) Meeting to examine the 2023 Budget last month that the Junior Minister for Trade and Economic Development, Agriculture and Fisheries and Territorial Member Hon Shereen D. Flax-Charles inquired about the cleaning of the Community Centres, particularly on the Sister Islands and specific to Anegada.
Comm. Centres have no legal authority to charge residents for usage- Malone-Frett
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In an earth shattering revelation that may have refund implications, the Chief Social Development Officer of the Social Development Department, Mrs Anne Malone-Frett told the House of Assembly’s Standing Finance Committee that her Department “has no source of authority that allowed them to charge for the use of the Community Centres.”
