Payne Sr from the 34th Legislature of the US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Wednesday night, July 20, 2022, in what was a culmination of immense pressure on lawmakers to address a scandal that had rocked the Senate — one that was untied from other senators but Mr Payne — after three women accused him of either sexual harassment or sexual assault, the initial being a young employee of his own office.

USVI Delegate Plaskett snubs President Obama on Cuba trip invitation

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — Delegate to Congress in the US Virgin Islands, Stacey E. Plaskett said on Wednesday March 16, 2016 that she has refused an invitation from President Barack H. Obama to take the historic trip to Cuba with him, opting instead to attend a previously scheduled panel discussion on this islands with members of Congress and business executives in the technology sector on March 19, 2016 at the Buccaneer Hotel and Resort.
