4 young VIslanders certified as deckhands
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Four junior deckhands received their certificates and documents on Thursday April 7, 2016 after successfully completing the Svitzer Recruitment Programme, enabling them to now work as deckhands on board ships.
They were handed their certificates at a brief ceremony held at the Central Administration Complex in the presence of Premier Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith.
VI Now Offering Seafarers Medical Fitness Certificate
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands as a Category 1 jurisdiction for ship registration, is now offering the United Kingdom Seafarers Medical Fitness Certificate for persons working aboard vessels.
