‘France has lifted its blacklist on VI’ – Premier Smith
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Premier Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith last night December 21, 2015 claimed that the blacklist imposed by France in 2013 on the Virgin Islands' financial services sector has been lifted.
EU places VI on financial services blacklist
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The [British] Virgin Islands was yesterday, June 17, 2015, placed on another financial services ‘blacklist’, along with 29 other small jurisdictions and international financial centres, by the European Union (EU).
VI remains on France's Blacklist
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Financial Secretary Neil M. Smith said that France is pleased with the Virgin Islands on a technical level but work still needs to be done to get the territory off the blacklist imposed in late 2013.
