DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – As part of the debate on constitutional review in the Virgin Islands, Sixth District Representative in the House of Assembly (HoA) Hon Alvera Maduro-Caines has called for the constitution to clearly define marriage with the aim of countering global trends of legalising same-sex marriages.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Marriage tourism was advocated by House of Assembly members during the debate of the Marriage Amendment Act, 2012 on May 10, 2012, but it will not include same sex marriages, a Government official announced.
