New 'Beach Use Policy' on the horizon

CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- Claiming to have no knowledge of what is being done to fix the issue of the Cane Garden Bay Beach being contaminated, especially due to sewerage overflows and after heavy downpours, outspoken citizen and clergyman John I. Cline aka ‘Bishop’ has challenged government to give him $1M to have the issue permanently resolved.

CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- Some four days after this news site had reported, on January 18, 2018 that follow up tests, according to Second District Representative Hon Melvin M. Turnbull, had cleared the way for the reopening of the world renowned Cane Garden Bay Beach for recreational use, the Department of Information issued a press release stating that the beach had been reopened, but was subsequently pulled from the Government website.

Long Bay Beach on Beef Island the new hot spot for tourists

BEEF ISLAND, VI- Prior to the tropical wave of August and hurricanes Irma and Maria in September, the preferred beaches for especially cruise ship tourists on Tortola were Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay.
