DPP says judge wrongfully dismissed case against trio accused of murder
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has launched an appeal against what it terms “the erroneous decisions” of the Learned Trial Judge Richard G. Floyd that led to murder accused Vernon Bernard, Rafael Harrigan and Maybelline Rodriquez being freed in the High Court today, April 4, 2022.
‘Ocho’ held wife’s hair from behind & slit her throat- Court hears
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It was a sad period in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon, June 12, 2017 as Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Kim Hollis QC read the allegations, detailing that murder accused Lennox F. Da Silva aka Ocho, during investigation, told police he stabbed his wife of three years, Sherika Nelson-Da Silva, and held on to her hair while behind her and slit her throat.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A cousin, who was said to be very close to the late Kwanna Todd-Rhymer, and a male friend of Alcedo Tyson were two of the witnesses for the Crown as the murder trial entered day four in the High Court today, June 20, 2013.
