VI received $965k EU grant to support local environment – Hon Turnbull
DUFF’S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI – Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) has announced that the European Union and their partners Expertise France, have provided the Virgin Islands (VI) with a grant in the amount of 927,890 Euros or approximately $965,000 US dollars through the Overseas Countries and Territories’ Resilience, Sustainable Energy, and Marine Biodiversity Programme - RESEMBID.

Meeting today to discuss CGB beach reopening ‘once & for all’ – Hon Turnbull
CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- Some four days after this news site had reported, on January 18, 2018 that follow up tests, according to Second District Representative Hon Melvin M. Turnbull, had cleared the way for the reopening of the world renowned Cane Garden Bay Beach for recreational use, the Department of Information issued a press release stating that the beach had been reopened, but was subsequently pulled from the Government website.
