Calls mount for details on small business initiative
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Calls are being made for an explanation of the inner workings of a recently announced initiative between the National Business Bureau and the National Bank of the Virgin Islands and how this will really benefit entrepreneurs in the Territory.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The National Business Bureau is not being done in isolation but is instead part of the work of the entire government, according to Premier of the Virgin Islands Dr The Hon. D. Orlando Smith.
Business bureau to offer loans for cruise ship pier stores
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Virgin Islanders who are eligible to control and operate a business on their own and who are interested in a future investment in a store that will be located at the new Road Town Cruise ship pier in the next couple of years, would be eligible to receive help from the National Business Bureau (NBB).
Effective February 1: Import duties reduced!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Effective today Wednesday February 1, 2012, persons importing goods into the Territory will see a reduction in their duty charges as they will only be required to pay duty on free on board costs as opposed to the previous practice of paying on cost, insurance and freight.
Small Business Bureau to be rebranded National Business Bureau
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- As was touted on the campaign trail by the National Democratic Party following up to the 2011 General Elections , the highly promoted Small Business Bureau will be rebranded National Business Bureau “to develop national business enterprises”, said Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. D. Orlando Smith in his budget address on January 17, 2012.
