UPDATE: Fights at Festival no big deal this year – Marvin 'MB' Blyden
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Chairman of the Virgin Islands Festivals and Fairs Committee Mr Marvin ‘MB’ Blyden isn’t too concerned about the “few” fights that took place during the 2013 Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival celebrations, especially at the Ira Oliver Skelton Festiville in Road Town, since there were no reports of serious injuries.
Iwer George took ill en route to VI, Committee refunded- VIF&FC
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – About a month after hundreds of fans were left disappointed with the no-show of Neil Iwer George at the 2013 Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival, the VI Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) has finally given an account for George's absence and also disclosed that the artiste has since refunded the committee.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Noting that he was happy to have the press in attendance at the announcement of the Theme and Slogan for VI Festival 2013 at Central Admin Complex on April 30, 2013 Chairman of the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee Marvin ‘MB’ Blyden said he was always happy to have the media around and urged their support for the upcoming festival.
UPDATE: VIF&FC PRO Lynette L. Harrigan not yet in receipt of appointment letter
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It has been over a month ago that Virgin Islands News Online reported that confirmed sources had indicated that Ms Lynette L. Harrigan was asked to take up the post as Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC). However, to-date she has not been issued an official letter confirming her appointment.
Rhodni Skelton has resigned! Marvin Blyden not officially informed!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Mr Rhodni Skelton has reportedly held true to his promise that he would resign as Public Relations Officer of the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) if current Chairman Mr Marvin Blyden did not alter scathing reports about him in the VIF&FC’s annual report for 2012.
