CARICOM says Order in Council is a ‘blunt colonial instrument’
NASSAU, The Bahamas- CARICOM has once again called on the United Kingdom (UK) to remove the Order in Council, which gives the UK-appointed Governor the power to suspend the Virgin Islands (VI) constitution and impose direct rule if he is not pleased with the process of implementation of the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) recommendations.

CARICOM wants UK to remove 'sword of Damocles' over VI
PARAMARIBO, Suriname, SA- The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has emphatically called on the British government to remove the "sword of Damocles" over the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) that it says addresses the question of “a potential re-imposition of direct rule” from London.
