Police called in @ SSB Office as fight breaks out

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – As the new deadline approaches for persons to register for National Health Insurance, the tension escalated today January 28, 2016 to the point where ranks of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force had to be called in at the Joshua S. Heavy fines set out for NHI non-compliance

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Regulations governing the controversial and mandatory National Health Insurance (NHI) were gazetted on December 29, 2015 and set out penalties for non-compliance by employers and employees, which include fines. Those regulations came into operation on January 1, 2016.
