Body found @ Threlfall identified as ‘Fix It’

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- According to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online, the body found at Threlfall on the main island of Tortola on Monday, September 25, 2017 has been identified as missing man Norbert Wheatley aka Fix It.

According to a family member, the body was decomposed beyond recognition and had to be identified through DNA testing.

The information was further confirmed in a press release by Police Information Officer Diane L. Drayton today, October 27, 2017 after this news site made enquiries.

“Following DNA analysis, Police can now confirm that the male body found just below Threllfall is that of missing person Norbert Wheatley known as ‘Fix It’,” the press release stated.

Investigations continue

The family of Mr Wheatley, 68, a resident of Mountain Valley in Huntum’s Ghut, has been notified of Police findings, according to the press release.

Police had sought public’s assistance in locating Mr Wheatley after his family members themselves enlisted assistance.
He was reportedly last seen on Saturday, September 9, 2017 close to the East End Police Station.

Police are seeking the public’s further assistance in establishing the movements of Mr Wheatley between 9 and 24 September, in particular any person who may have given him a lift to the Threllfall/Sage Mountain area or who may have seen him there.

Police investigations are ongoing in the matter.

    So how come he survived the hurricanes and now found dead a long way from his home? This don't make sense. And no one detected the scent long before advanced stage of decomposition? Last seen September 9 hurricane was September 6.
