DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI- When the Ninth Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly of the Virgin Islands convenes today, May 13, 2021, at the Save the Seed Energy Centre in Duff’s Bottom, once again Junior Minister for Tourism and At Large Member Hon Sharie B. De Castro will be posing questions to her own government.

Hon De Castro will ask Premier and Minister of Finance Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) whether it is the United Kingdom Government or the taxpayers of the Virgin Islands who are covering the cost for the Commission of Inquiry that was announced by the former Governor.

The At Large Member will also ask Premier Fahie to “please tell this Honourable House what is the status and the way forward for the implementation of the Disaster Management Act 2021, which was unanimously passed by the Legislators of this Honourable House on 6th January, 2021?”

HoA history

It was at the Seventh Sitting of the Third Session of the Fourth House of Assembly in April 2021 that Hon De Castro made some HoA history by becoming the first Junior Minister to ask questions of her own government.

Hon De Castro being allowed to ask her questions before the Opposition Leader had not sit well with Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8), who felt he should have been allowed to ask his questions first since in his opinion his position was more senior in the House.

The HoA Sitting will be carried live from 10:00am on CBN Radio 90.9 FM, CBN-Television Channel 101 on Flow TV and can also be followed on the HoA YouTube channel and online at www.cbnvirginislands.com.

Same old game is been played over and over and over again.. Disgusting! We need job to make money just like you and your family do. Rather than might is right, or white is right, or black is right, it is right, it is righteousness, that is right every time. Why? Because righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach against all people.

the administration simple want to get certain information out there to the public and the opposition wont ask certain questions therefore simply have a team player ask those certain questions so the information get out: the question is a very good question because enquiring wants to know

    political strategy!!!!
