VI’s overseas track athletes set the Indoor pace!
Maloney's performance in the 400m was the Vikings' most impressive one of the day as the sprinter not only qualified for the Big Sky tournament but set a new Portland State record in the process, tallying a time of 55.72. Maloney bested a record set back in 2006 by Femi Kehinde, who posted the previous best of 56.17.
King, now running as an unattached athlete, finished in 24.02 to lead a large field home and she would also turn in a stellar performance on Saturday January 19 with a blistering personal best of 7.46 in the 60m to finish second behind former teammate Geronne Black.
