VI was well represented at regional teen pageant- Chaperone
The reigning Miss BVI Teen Ashellica Fahie emerged in the top three in a tightly competed pageant that saw the crown go to home girl Siobhan Phipps, who accumulated 826 points, in a captivating performance that saw her take four of the five segments.
Miss Fahie, a 16-year-old student of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), secured Second Runner Up. The First Runner Up was Miss Jamaica Aba Sykes who had 753 points. Miss Fahie received 695.5 points. Miss Anguilla Keivanee Lake rounded off the top four spot.
According to franchise holder of Miss BVI Teen Pageant Rupert Vanterpool Jr., Ms. Fahie represented the Virgin Islands well. He noted too that the pageant was of a high quality and that Ms. Fahie had “lots of fun”.
Ms. Fahie is currently in the U.S. Virgin Islands and could not be reached for a comment.
The other participants were Miss Grenada Kande Duncan, Miss St. Lucia Kadijha Mason, Miss US Virgin Islands Bailey Dukes, Miss Bahamas Monesha Bowleg, Miss Barbados Sacha Clarke, Miss Nevis Erica Doras, Miss Bermuda Shaunte Simons and Miss Antigua & Barbuda Aaliyah Thomas.
Ms. Fahie, who aspires to be a lawyer, charmed and impressed the crowd and judges with a display of confidence, talent, intelligence and beauty to cart off the coveted crown from a field of five contestants at the Ms. BVI Teen 2011 Pageant at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium on October 1, 2011.
