VI & USVI to clash twice in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers in March

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins for the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) in March 2024, with a home and away clash with neighbouring territory the US Virgin Islands.

The VI will travel to the USVI for the first leg on March 18, 2024, and will then host the USVI on March 26, 2024, in the First Round of qualifying involving the four lowest-ranked Concacaf Member Associations based on the FIFA Men’s Rankings as of December 2023.

The other two teams in First Round qualifying are Turks and Caicos Islands and Anguilla.

If the VI prevails against the USVI they will earn a spot in Group E of Second Round Qualifying, which begins in June.

Already in Group E are Jamaica, Dominica, Dominican Republic and Guatemala.
