VI residents flood MV Logos Hope; Final day for book fair is today
This is the first time MV Logos Hope has visited the territory, its 154th country, and the residents of the Virgin Islands have made it known that they have a great desire for books and knowledge, not just from virtual platforms.
The Project Manager of MV Logos Hope, Kalyan Arisalya, told our News Centre on October 27, 2025, that more than 7000 people visited the floating book fair over the first three days.
Monday also saw one of the largest turnouts, ahead of the final day, today, October 28, 2025.
The book fair will open today from 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
'You bring hope wherever you go'- Premier Wheatley
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) had expressed his gratitude to the captain and crew of MV Logos Hope for docking in the Virgin Islands.
"In a world that can often feel divided, the Logos Hope stands as a beautiful symbol of what can be achieved when people from many nations work toward a common purpose. You carry a message that love, peace, and understanding are not only possible but essential. Through literacy, education, and cross-cultural friendship, you bring hope wherever you go.
