ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced today, Friday, May 10, 2024, that Augusto Rodriguez-Molina, 37, a resident of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and Dominican Republic national, was sentenced on cocaine smuggling conviction.

Smith announce that he was sentenced by District Judge Wilma A. Lewis to 57 months incarceration and two years of supervised release following his conviction on conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.

According to court documents, the case stems from since January 9, 2022, when Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations intercepted a suspicious vessel travelling northeast of St.Croix.

The suspicious vessel was operating in international waters in an area known by law enforcement for drug trafficking and displayed no indicia of nationality, no flag, nor registration documents.

The vessel was therefore determined to be a vessel without nationality, thus subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

Rodriguez-Molina, Shannon John, Sean John and Emmanuel Tolentino-Lebron, all of the British Virgin Islands, and 567 kilograms of cocaine were discovered onboard the vessel. All four men pleaded guilty to cocaine conspiracy and were sentenced to 57-70 months of incarceration.

This case was investigated by Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations and Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Rhonda Williams-Henry.

They are all Idiots and deserve to be in prison. yes, including The Big Boy and Mother and Son. Why couldn't they have worked regular jobs like the rest of us? Not enough for them to live lavishly I guess.

You are alone in this battle
    BVI apparently, is an enabler.
    An embargo is the solution.
Bvi is the pathway to the USA and all other nations as evidenced by the latest captures .
Cruise ships in the BVI missing returns of pax from shore visits .

Escaped convicts, murderers and other criminals hiding in plain sight.
BVI is lax in protecting its borders.,hence we are contributors to the world nations when it comes to terrorism.
        A blockade is warranted..
