COCBURN TOWN, Turks and Caicos Islands - The Premier and Minister of Finance of the Virgin Islands, Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), paid an official visit to the leadership of the Turks and Caicos Islands as part of a regional tour on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

During this visit, the Premier held a productive meeting with local leaders, focusing on constitutional issues, healthcare funding, and opportunities to enhance collaboration in tourism and investment.

'Strong ties for a stronger region'

In a Facebook post, the Premier stated that the purpose of the meeting was to establish strong ties for a stronger region.

He emphasised the importance of shared governance and resilience, expressing a commitment to an ongoing partnership aimed at advancing the long-term interests of both territories.

The Turks and Caicos Islands and the Virgin Islands are British Overseas Territories located in the Caribbean, known for their tourism, offshore finance, and beautiful beaches.

In recent years, the relationship between the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Virgin Islands has strengthened, driven by their shared status as United Kingdom (UK) Overseas Territories, similar economic foundations, and mutual challenges related to governance, climate change, and constitutional relations with the UK.

The place dirty and stink. NOBODY should come here until this place is cleaned up. He have to keep going because it ain't his money sending him and his useless entourage. That money they keep milking on all this useless travel (because they have yet to implement anything useful from their ventures) could have done something valuable for us. Watch to see how he will spend money for the summer, and tell people he trying to stimulate the economy. Picko was smack dead right about ALL of them! The Premier we need is NOT in government or on the opposition. The Premier we need is not someone who was a politician before. Its time for a new mercenary. They all greedy, wasteful, spiteful, selfish, stupid, and lacking in vision. And this is ALL of them on both sides! None better than they next. All they do is pick at each other, mean while their bank account getting fatter. We the people are the fools. They are NOT working for us, they working for themselves, their families and friends.
