The Virgin Islands almost scored in just the 46^th second of play when Tyler Forbes whipped a ball in from the right wing, but Javaun Splatt was only able to turn it towards the near post.

The visitors then fell behind at the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association National Stadium in Providenciales, when Billy Forbes scored for Turks and Caicos Islands in the 9^th minute by firing in a ball that came to him from the left wing.

It was 2-nil TCI in the 52^nd minute when Junior Paul slotted in a ball that was crossed from the left wing.

TCI continued to attack from the left wing and found results in the 74^th minute when a similar low cross from the left side was met with the boot of Billy Forbes.

The VI now play Montserrat in a return leg on October 1, 2026.

USVI bag a 2^nd win

Meanwhile, the US Virgin Islands earned a 3-1 win over the Bahamas in Group C at Bethlehem Soccer Stadium in St Croix, US Virgin Islands.

The USVI won their opening game against St Martin, 2-0.
