VI defeated 3-0 by Montserrat in Nations League C opener

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands- The Virgin Islands fell 3-0 to Montserrat in their opening Group C game of the CONCACAF Nations League in Turks and Caicos Islands on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
After a goalless first half at the Turks and Caicos Islands Football Association National Stadium in Providenciales, Montserrat ended up netting three goals in less than 15 minutes to take all the points.
It went downhill for the boys from the Virgin Islands in the 58th minute when Brandon Barzey fired in a ball that was parried out by goalkeeper Frankie Beckles from a free kick taken by Lyle Taylor from just above the 18-yard box.
Taylor would then get on the scoresheet in the 67th and 71st minutes for Montserrat.
The VI will now turn their attention to Turks & Caicos Islands on September 29, 2026.
USVI beat St Martin
In another League C match on Saturday, the US Virgin Islands defeated St Martin 2-0.
J Liburd scored both of the goals.
