VI beat Cayman Islands 2-1 in international football friendly

GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands- The Virgin Islands senior football team snapped a long run of going winless when they edged hosts Cayman Islands, 2-1, in an international football friendly match at Truman Boden Sports Complex in Grand Cayman on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

Luca E. Chalwell and Javan Splatt were the men on target for the Virgin Islands.

The VI had lost to the Cayman Islands 0-1 when they last met in September 2024.

The boys from the Virgin Islands will be in action again on Saturday, November 15, 2025, against The Bahamas. That friendly will also be played at Truman Boden Sports Complex in Grand Cayman.
