The visitors from the Virgin Islands overpowered United St Martin, 100-75, at LB Scott Auditorium. United St Martin is a combined squad from both the Dutch and French sides of St Maarten.

Boyd & Edwin take charge

Leading the VG Bayside Blazers’ commanding performance was Ahkeel J. Boyd, who ended with 21 points. Also putting in a stellar performance was Deon J. Edwin, who netted 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.

Kerry T. Richardson, with 12 points, and Justin J. Johnson, with 11 points, were the other leading scorers for VG Bayside Blazers.

United St Martin’s resistance, though suppressed, was led by E. Hamilton, who registered a game-high 25 points.

M. Guillaume supported with 16 points.

The other teams in the tournament are Canada, Haiti, Dominica, Aruba, St Kitts, USA, Tortola, and Statia.
