USVI woman arrested for cyber stalking & harassment

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — Police in the US Virgin Islands on Friday, December 4, 2020, arrested a woman for allegedly creating over 200 telephone numbers through an online text messaging application to threaten and harass several individuals, including minors.

According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Friday at roughly 4:43 pm, detectives with the Economic Crimes Unit arrested Sharron Lopez, age 35 of Louis E. Brown Villas, on a warrant and charged her with harassment by telephone, telegraph, or written communication and cyber stalking and cyber harassment.

Unable to make bail of $10,000, Lopez was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending her advisement hearing.
