USVI: Vernon “Pappy” Sackey Jr. wanted for domestic violence burglary in STX

CHRISTIANSTED, St. Croix, USVI- The V.I. Police Department's Criminal Investigation Bureau has issued a wanted bulletin for Vernon Sackey Jr., also known as “Pappy,” in connection with a domestic violence-related first-degree burglary case.

According to the department’s Forensic/Identification Section, Sackey, the bulletin was first posted on May 22, 2025.

Sackey, 26, is a St. Croix native born on October 20, 1998. He is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 115 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and is reportedly unemployed at this time. No distinguishing marks or peculiarities were noted in the release.

Authorities say Sackey is known to frequent the Golden Rock and Basin Triangle areas on St. Croix. Members of the public who may know his whereabouts or encounter him are urged to call 911 immediately or contact Detective S. Velez at 340-712-6040. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
