CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — A man who was observed on surveillance camera stealing multiple bottles of liquor from Boogie Woogie, a restaurant and bar on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands has been arrested and jailed, [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced Thursday, July 21, 2016.
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI — A man who was observed on surveillance camera stealing multiple bottles of liquor from Boogie Woogie, a restaurant and bar on St Thomas, US Virgin Islands has been arrested and jailed, [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced Thursday, July 21, 2016.
According to Ms Freeman, on June 25, 2016 at approximately 11:00 A.M., the owner of Boogie Woogie called the 911 emergency call centre and reported that his business had been burglarised.
On Monday, officers gained information that the suspect, Marty L. Glover, was hiding in the Estate Nadir Hill area, and at approximately 2:00 P.M., while conducting an inspection in the same area, officers made contact with Mr Glover and nabbed him.
The suspect was arrested and charged with third degree burglary. After failing to make bail of $25,000, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.
