USVI man arrested on Internet Pornography charges against minor
FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — Police officers in the US Virgin Islands (USVI) on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, arrested a 26-year-old St Croix man on multiple internet pornography charges perpetrated against a minor.
According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Wednesday at approximately 6:45 am, Brandon Teliam, age 26, of Prince Street, Frederiksted, was arrested on a warrant and charged with obscene internet contact with a minor, visual medium depicting sexually explicit conduct, computer pornography, blackmail, sending threatening letters, and distribution or exhibition to minors.
Teliam is accused of having obscene and inappropriate contact with a minor on the internet, according to the VIPD news release.
Unable to make bail of $25,000, Teliam was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending his advisement hearing.
