ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Sir Lindsay H. Hoyle, the Speaker of the House of Commons in the United Kingdom (UK), will be visiting the Virgin Islands from February 17-19, 2026.

Sir Lindsay's visit is on the invitation of Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), who visited the UK late last year.

While the full itinerary of Sir Lindsay has not been disclosed by the House of Assembly ((HoA), it announced there will be a Special Sitting of the HoA on February 17, 2026, in honour of Sir Lindsay's visit.

Sir Lindsay to be hosted on Peter Island

Reports reaching our News Centre also are that there will be a special event on Peter Island for Sir Lindsay on February 18, 2026.

Sir Lindsay H. Hoyle is a British politician who has served as Speaker of the House of Commons since 2019 and as Member of Parliament (MP) for Chorley since 1997.
