CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI- Pastor Claude O. Skelton-Cline, the host of Honestly Speaking, has withdrawn his statement that Honourable Myron V. Walwyn (R6) met with Honourable Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) to try to convince Hon Turnbull to join the People’s Leadership Movement (PLM) with him.

Skelton-Cline had made the allegation on his Honestly Speaking show on ZBVI 780 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and both Hons Walwyn and Turnbull had refuted the claim.

In a statement today, October 8, 2026, Skelton-Cline said his pronouncements stemmed from a “grave misunderstanding”.

“During the most recent episode of my programme, I shared information based on a conversation I had with a ‘source’. After further review, I have come to understand that there was a grave misunderstanding regarding the details of the conversation on my part.”

‘Hon Myron Walwyn did not meet with the Hon Member of the 2nd’

The clergyman said he wanted to clarify and correct his previous statement to ensure that his listeners receive accurate information.

“Hon Myron Walwyn did not meet with the Hon Member of the 2nd [District] on the PLM matter.”

Mr Skelton-Cline said he is responsible and takes ownership for the content of Honestly Speaking and when and if something is said that proves to be inaccurate, he would correct the record because the integrity of the programme and that of its listeners are equally important to me.

“I appreciate the opportunity to address this matter in my own voice prior to my return on Tuesday, God willing,” Skelton-Cline said.
