ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI—Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Kendrick Davis has confirmed the full-scale activation of regional and international law enforcement support in the continuing search for the suspect wanted in connection with the recent murder of Nyron A. Erickson in the Virgin Islands.

Thirty-two-year-old Erickson was killed in a hail of bullets on May 10, 2025, while at the Freshwater Pond locale on the western end of Tortola. Police later issued a wanted bulletin for John Emmanuel, aka Brent Dawn Emmanuel and Small Brent, as a suspect in the murder.

Repurposed RVIPF Staff

Deputy Commissioner Davis, at a press briefing on May 16, 2025, outlined the collaborative approach the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has undertaken in response to the manhunt, which has escalated into a multi-agency operation involving local, regional, and international stakeholders.

“We've engaged assistance from another entity called the Regional Security System (RSS), which is based in Barbados,” Davis confirmed, adding that this regional body joins a growing list of operational partners. “We’ve also engaged the synergies from all the other law enforcement agencies present in the BVI, and also regional partners in the USVI, the National Crime Agency from the UK, who has regional presence as well.”

Additionally, he disclosed that the RVIPF has also “repurposed some of our staff who would not ordinarily work in some departments to ensure that the vulnerabilities could be mitigated.”

Pressed about specific coordination with United States Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) and local marine units in the US Virgin Islands, Deputy Commissioner Davis replied unequivocally, “Yes, indeed.”

They want the killer so he can say who hired he. That’s the real deal that’s the real story. And they certainly don’t want the streets to fly in and take matters in their own hands

His teardrop tattoo under his left eye can be covered up with makeup. Watch for his size and look at his face well. Every rat will get caught eventually, hiding in the bush, and the person hiding it will do prison time also. After prison time is served, they all need to be deported, if they're not from here, and never be allowed back into the BVI.

If the streets do fly in to handle things, it is going to be real bad. The hit was ordered from in house meaning Tortola. The hit man is long gone out of dodge. Hit men knows how to disguise themselves very well. If he did not get out of dodge, he can be right here walking among us unrecognizable.

The dude is still on Island moving around in disguise looking for the next target he was paid to snuff out. If you want him that bad hire an agency to come in with a pack of well trained tracker dogs. West Bank and the Lawyer in Sea Cows Bay hit was ordered and paid for by a local with money. Why you think the police is pressing so hard to find dude. All the dirty truth about the local is going to bubble to the surface real soon.
