Today, Massa’s Descendants are kicking out the Slaves descendants or charging them $15,000.00 to visit the graveyard of their ancestors… Those puzzled that Trump can be such a callous liar, seem to forget that from infancy to death, we have been fed a steady stream of lies… Perhaps, Trump realised that we will quicker accept a well-dressed lie than the naked truth… No wonder Truth for the Youth is in danger.

From Sunday School to University, we were taught to believe that Good always conquers Bad, and that an Honest Day’s Work guarantees a Fair Day’s Pay… However, these are trying Times, and no matter how hard we try to focus on doing good, we are never sure what to expect… It is difficult trying to convince our Children that Crime does not pay, when they see Leaders flourish in Crime and Corruption.

Too often, Bad is sold to us as being good, and good is misrepresented as being bad… I am not guiltless in this matter, since our band was known as the Bad Ones, and we considered ‘chasing Chicks’ as a rite of passage… It was not unusual for the youngest member to have three sons within the same year... Clearly, I am no saint, but circumstances alter cases, and as we get older, priorities tend to change.

Allowing a Sense of Gratitude to Overcome the Presence of Greed:

Along the way I got involved in Health and Education, to the point where my late wife Dr Natalie Brewley and I, dedicated ourselves to providing what we regarded as affordable Health Care for the Territory... I still support that objective, and today you know of this as the B&F Medical Complex... You also know that the journey was never easy, but we would never have made it without your encouragement and support.

For this we are forever grateful, and maybe, this is where the real story should begin, for it would explain why we have always considered that, while we owned the Company, the Business, really belonged to the Employees in specific, and the General Public as a whole... That gave us the responsibility of trying to keep Health Care more affordable, while providing Jobs as Opportunities for Persons to learn and earn.

Challenges are not new to us – whether seen or unseen, local or foreign – but the unnecessary War in the Middle East, presents another manmade crisis that will affect the costs and accessibility of everything; including Health Care...  The impact on manufacturing Essential Goods and Services will likely result in reduced access, but higher costs for both the Articles and Transportation, triggering a Global Recession.

I warned that Trump was likely to destroy America and the World, because he is a magnet for Disasters, whether; Covid-19, Hurricanes or the Economy... We are no stranger to poverty and hardship, but this is different... Back then, we had no great expectations or instant communications, and while we may never have all the answers, we should at least prepare enough to ease the pain... We seem totally unprepared.

The Price we Pay for Neglect & Delay:

Instead of preparing, we spent more time partying and grabbing for illusions of grandeur rather than assessing the situations with a view to safeguarding ourselves in the long run… We forget the tale of the Ant and Grasshopper, so we waste opportunities and abuse privileges... We celebrate the increased Cruise ships, without planning on what to do if Tourists have no money and the ships can’t afford fuel.

We ignored Agriculture, so we are unable to feed ourselves, and our Roads are designed to go down in order to get up, so that we are effectively wasting the same Gas we do not have... This is as serious as a Cat 5 Hurricane, and even if the effects reach us later, they are likely to hit us harder... Unfortunately, we are late to the game, but we must begin somewhere, since Bomb-drop may be another nail in the Coffin.

We are heading for a crashed Economy, and whenever that happens, Government’s first reaction is towards self-preservation - not about People of Country, but focused on Self... They will just as easily sell out the Country and betray the People, externally, while trying to get blood from Stones, through Taxes, Fees and Fines, internally... This further destroys the People and make the situation progressively worse.

The First Law of Nature is Self-defense for Survival, and as the People sink in Poverty the Nation will rise in Criminality... This is a major reason for Poor-on-Poor Crime, and when we turn the Protector of the People into their Enemy, things only get worse... We see it with the ICE Police in America, to the point where Law and Order collapsed, and the Head was fired... Wisdom is learning from the Mistakes of others.

We cannot do the Wrong & expect the Right:

Just beware that not all Lessons are beneficial… We can recite the genealogy of every character in the Bible, but we don’t know the name of our Neighbour… No wonder we liken ourselves to Sheep without understanding that the Sheep spend its life running from the Wolf, only to be eaten by the Shepherd… Sometimes getting to the top is far more dangerous when we place the ladder against the wrong wall.

Using the Police as Revenue Collectors is the same bad idea that caused the Jews their Kingdom... They are now having to create Wars in an attempt to regain relevance by stealing the Properties off others... They have effectively made their problem, our problem... Maybe that is a logical conclusion, since we have claimed their rejected King, as our King of Kings... Just another thing we proudly do in ignorance.

Rather than seek an Imaginary Kingdom of Gold, I think I will remain focused on Education and Health; especially because Education was denied to us as Slaves, in order to keep us in perpetual bondage, and I think we can all recognise Health as Life... Both of these contribute to the Wellbeing and Equality of All People, even though this is quite difficult when those in need of Knowledge and Healing resist the Cures.

In addition, it is not unusual when those you try to help turn out to be the same ones trying to destroy you… This got me in trouble before, and will likely get me in trouble again, but the days ahead may be the worst we have ever seen... And, even as we accept that Greed knows no Gratitude, in this struggle for Survival, the only way is by being our Brother’s Keeper, and using less in order to achieve more.
