Police Constable interdicted from duty following firearm-related report

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has said its officers are investigating a report received of a domestic-related incident on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, involving one of its officers.

It said that, as part of ongoing investigations, a Police Constable was arrested for questioning and has since been interdicted from duty pending the outcome of the investigation.

Firearm involved

According to the RVIPF, a firearm was involved. There was no mention of whether the weapon was fired.

"The RVIPF continues investigations into the matter. Further updates will be provided as necessary."
