Police charge 2 for firearm offences, 4 for burglary

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Seantroy Hanley and Jahkeema Charles were charged with keeping a firearm without a licence, among other charges, while Deron Antoine, Marvin Gumbs, Wendy Hendricks and Alex Moore were charged with burglary between March 2 and March 31, 2024.

This is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Arrest Blotter for the period March 2 to March 31, 2024.

BURGLARY

  1. On 12-03-2024 at 1712 hrs., Police arrested and charged Deron Antoine, 30, of Ballast Bay, with four counts of Burglary.
  2. On 24-03-2024 at 1120 hrs., Police arrested and charged Marvin Gumbs, 47, of no fixed place of abode with Theft.
  3. On 25-03-2024 at 1844 hrs., Police arrested and charged Wendy Hendricks, 60, of Jost Van Dyke, with Theft. She was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 01-05-2024.

BURGLARY

On 27-03-2024 at 0928 hrs., Police arrested and charged Alex Moore, 29, of Johnson’s Ghut, with Burglary, Handling Stolen Goods, and Giving False Information to the Police. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 to appear at Magistrate’s Court on 25-04-2024.

THEFT

On 21-03-2024 at 0925 hrs., Police arrested and charged Romaine Baird, 34, of Pasea Estate, with Theft, Obtaining Property by Deception, and Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct. He was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 25-04-2024.

DRUNKENNESS WHEN IN CHARGE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

On 06-03-2024 at 1712 hrs., Police arrested and charged Triston Creque, of Litle Dix Hill, with Drunkenness When in Charge of a Motor Vehicle.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM

  1. On 01-03-2024 at 1040 hrs., Police arrested and charged Hannif Allen, 33, with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm.
  2. On 15-03-2024 at 0216 hrs., Police arrested and charged Nasyan Fredrick, 27, of Little Dix Hill, with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 29-04-2024.
  3. On 22-03-2024 at 1710 hrs., Police arrested and charged Kayaba George, 25, of The Valley, Virgin Gorda, with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Armed with an Offensive Weapon, Taking Conveyance without Authority.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

On 05-03-2024 at 2125 hrs., Police arrested and charged Janelle Smith-Haywood, 43, of Windy Hill, Virgin Gorda, with three counts of Criminal Damage. She was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 16-04-2024.

  1. On 26-03-2024 at 1508 hrs., Police arrested and charged a 14-year-old of Virgin Gorda with Criminal Damage. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear at the Magistrate's Court on 27-05-2024.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED DRUG

  1. On 02-03-2024 at 1532 hrs., Police arrested and charged Quentin Noel, 19, of Purcell Estate, with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug.
  2. On 02-03-2024 at 1802 hrs., Police arrested and charged Seantroy Hanley, 36, of Fat Hog’s Bay, with two counts of Keeping a Firearm without a License, two counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug with intent to supply.
  3. On 02-03-2024 at 1800 hrs., Police arrested and charged Jahkeema Charles, 32, of Fat Hog’s Bay, with two counts of Keeping a Firearm without a License, two counts of Unlawful Possession of Explosives, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug with intent to supply. She was granted bail in the sum of $40,000 to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 18-04-2024.

ASSAULT ON POLICE

  1. On 18-03-2024 at 1904hrs., Police arrested and charged David Todman, 42, of Fahie Hill, for Assault on Police, Indecent Language, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct in a Police Station, Driving an Uninsured Vehicle, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, and Keeping for us an Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in his own recognizance to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 02-05-2024.
