SPRAT BAY, Peter Island, VI- The world-renowned resort in the Virgin Islands, Peter Island Resort, has been named a Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown Winner.

Condé Nast Traveler is a prestigious travel magazine published by Condé Nast, focusing on luxury travel, lifestyle, and high-quality journalism. The magazine offers expert travel guides, reviews, and inspiration for discerning global travelers.

“Condé Nast Traveler's Triple Crown is like no other hotel list out there. It's the only one that represents three awards in one—our annual Hot List, for the best new hotels, Gold List, for the editor favourites, and Readers' Choice, the best as chosen by our audience. Win all three, and you're a Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown property,” the magazine stated.

Great reviews for Peter Island Resort

According to Conde Nast Traveler, Peter Island Resort turns up the volume on the wellness-minded, pastoral strains of Caribbean life.

“From the moment the resort’s chartered yacht glides into Deadman Bay’s near pancake-flat waters, the transition from passenger to prized guest is practically instantaneous. The sounds of revving engines and splashing waves ease into the clicking paddles of lively pickleballers, the painterly swathes of green whipping by focus into a ruggedly handsome landscape, and any thirst or heat brought on by the tropical weather is soothed with a cold towel and Peter Island’s signature welcome drink—a ginger lemonade brightened by maraschino cherries.

“In the highest regard, Peter Island conceals its youth, operating as if they've been around for three decades rather than a mere three months. The island turns up the volume on the wellness-minded, pastoral strains of Caribbean life, and in no time, you might just find yourself humming along to the tune,” reviewer Kat Chen stated.

‘Infectiously familial’ resort

The service at Peter Island was described as “infectiously familial”, with an effortless synergy owing to several of the staff returning to the island after Irma.

“The team is headed by avuncular and affable general manager Ed [Linsley], who while down to Earth, has honed his hospitality chops at white-glove institutions like the Four Seasons and Rosewood. Additionally, guest experience manager Glenmore, and staff throughout the Drake and resort like Marsha, Rock, and Ramoes can’t help but show their pride for the reopened island, spreading smiles and warmth no matter where I ventured,” Chen added.

Peter Island Resort has said it is “proud” to be named a Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown Winner — a distinction reserved for the world's most exceptional travel experiences.

After closing in 2017 due to damage sustained from hurricanes Irma and Maria, Peter Island Resort was officially declared open for all access with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
