Omari Roberts murder: 2 arrested & released

SOUTH HILL, Anguilla- The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) has said it continues to investigate the murder of Omari Roberts, who was shot dead at Hillside Bar and Grill, located on Back Street, South Hill, Anguilla early February 17, 2025.

Roberts, 29, of Palestina Estate, had travelled to Anguilla on February 14, 2025. Unconfirmed reports are that Roberts was relieved of his jewellery by the armed assailants.

As part of ongoing inquiries, warrants were executed, and two individuals were arrested and later discharged, pending further investigation, the RAPF stated on February 27, 2025.

“The police remain committed to pursuing all leads and urge members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist in this investigation.

"Anyone with relevant details is encouraged to contact the RAPF,” Anguilla police stated.

    He went there on the 14th and on the 17th he was killed. What a sad ending for a young man. Wearing all of that jewelry was not a smart thing to do because the killers took what they saw as easy money. Sad Sad Sad. My condolences to his loved ones.
