LONDON, UK- The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) has again been accused of lying to Members of Parliament (MPs).

It was only recently that Mr Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson ‘aka ‘Boris’, who has been facing allegations of corruption and cronyism, was found lying to Members of Parliament about the publication of COVID-19 contracts.

Now, according to the BBC, the Labour Party has accused Johnson of lying to MPs after he wrongly claimed Sir Keir R. Starmer had voted against a pay rise for NHS workers in England.

It said the party is calling on the PM to "correct the record" after he said Labour had voted against a 2.1% rise.

The 2.1% proposal - which has since been scrapped in favour of 1% - was approved without a vote in 2020.

Downing Street said the record had been corrected and there was no need for the PM to apologise.

According to the BBC, during exchanges at Prime Minister's Questions, Sir Keir said: "Two years ago he made a promise to the NHS - here in black and white, his document - it commits to a minimum pay rise of 2.1%. It's being budgeted for and now it's being taken away.

"He shakes his head - his MPs voted for it. So why, after everything the NHS has done for us, is he now breaking promise after promise?"

Mr Johnson replied: "He voted against the document in question to crown the absurdity of his point."

'Clarification'

Labour's shadow health secretary Jonathan M. G. Ashworth called on Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay H. Hoyle to "get the prime minister to return to the House and correct the record".

Mr Ashworth said: "The prime minister has twice, from that dispatch box, said that the Labour opposition voted against the NHS Funding Bill and the 2.1% increase for NHS staff. This is not the case."

Sir Lindsay said Mr Ashworth's intervention was not something he would rule on but added "it is certainly a point of clarification - that part has been achieved".

Writing on Twitter later, Mr Ashworth said that Mr Johnson had "lied at PMQs" and repeated Labour's demand for a vote in Parliament on the 1% offer.

The ministerial code states that it is of "paramount importance that Ministers give accurate and truthful information to Parliament, correcting any inadvertent error at the earliest opportunity".

The embattled Johnson and his UK Government have also faced repeated claims of cronyism over the £18billion rush to source PPE and other equipment during the COVID-19 crisis, with ministers criticised for handing lucrative contracts to personal contacts with no experience in the sector.

Hmm. Pot calling kettle black. Imagine Gus called the BVI corrupted but the recent news from the UK government wreaks of controversy, corruption and callousness.

The UK hierarchy has proven itself over time to be such a corrupted and stained body for their continued atrocious actions worldwide. Let's see if Gus calls them out for their misdeeds because he seems to have a strong abhorrence to poor governance and insisted on the "right thing" being done.

Trump #2. Neither of them should have been put into office. But actually, they have shown the world how bad their countries are, always pointing fingers at other countries, while they are worse hypocrites.

Rubber Duck one I was catching a ride and I was picked up by a white woman. The news of the COI had just reached our shores . She said to me they are coming to throw Andrew out and restore the BVI
She claimed that people coming in can't get jobs and people here don't have jobs. Other things were discussed.
However, the point is she seemed at the time to have inside information that this COI was coming, but we the people and government did not know. She was so excited . I really was taken aback. In
Her conversation she kept using we and I realized that she and the white people living here are silently trying to destroy this place in hopes for them to get it for themselves.
Now don't go trying to insult me about who would wants these third world countries. The facts are you are here, the comments the white woman made, the way UK acts up every time the word self determination is thrown out and let's not forget the blogging where you all are constantly using the term down island people trying to make it look like locals are the ones doing it.
      Shame on you all.
Back to you Rubber Duck a lot of what is going on in the UK looks guilty to me. How come you guys are always silent on the UK but so quick to condemn this little BLACK NATION? HYPOCRISY.
