FORT HILL, Tortola, VI- Motorists are being advised of a minor landslide at Fort Hill, with rocks and debris partially obstructing the roadway this morning, September 2, 2026.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has advised motorists to proceed with caution, reduce their speed, and remain alert when approaching the affected area.

Where possible, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes until the roadway has been cleared and an all-clear is given.

The RVIPF thanks the public for their cooperation and urges motorists to exercise patience and caution while travelling through the area.

    Luckily no motorists or pedestrians were caught in what could have been a tragedy. Always pray for traveling mercies when traversing these dangerous BVI roads.

    This was very hilarious. Instead of fixing the Palestina to Havers Road and getting a tractor to cut a drain along the Norman Island Dock wall to take the water out to the sea, I saw some guys there this morning trying to use a tired pump to pump the muddy water that is blocking the road. Are we all that crazy?
