ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Information just reaching our newsroom is that a Jamaican man has been arrested and charged for Illegal Entry and Carrying an Unlicensed Firearm.

Our newsroom was informed by sources within the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) that the arrest was made at Long Trench before 8:00 pm last night, March 17, 2021.

The man arrested, said to be 29 years of age, has reportedly since been charged.

It was a day earlier, March 16, 2021, that a loaded firearm and ammunition were recovered and two persons arrested after ranks of the RVIPF carried out a search warrant on a property on Tortola.

The firearm seizures have come on the heels of the shooting at Fish Bay that left Deverson Williams, 38, a native of St Vincent and Long Trench resident, dead.

You the One need to go back to school dummy!!! They picked them both up on the same day, so the comment is correct a**. They let one go and charged the other a**! So someone either sell out, admitted to it or they didn’t have any evidence to keep that one. So before you try to show yourself next time you read and interpret JA.

So who are we blaming now? I think the blame should be on the locals that are paying these men from the same Caribbean islands. If they weren’t being hired and paid then they wouldn’t have a job to do. Those without sin cast the first stone. People talk too much bad on other countries that is why these beautiful Virgin Islands going like this.
