Is it all about the money?

Sometimes what we see isn’t what we say… The Bible said that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil," but we prefer to distort it to our satisfaction, by saying, that "the love of money is the root of all evil," and then we set about proving ourselves right… Subsequently, in the past we used almost anything as Money; Trinkets, Pottery, Gold, Silver, Tulips, Paper, Plastic, and more recently, Crypto Currency.
For years American Money was considered as good as Gold, and their Dollar was referred to as King… We worship it so much that we elevated it to God status, and printed on it; “in God we trust… Money has grown so important that, although we know the dangers of it, we are worse off without it, than with it, so we will Work, Play, Lie, Steal, Teach, Preach, Kill, or Sell Friends and Family, just for a Few Dollars more…
It’s like the addiction to a Drug, and Political Leaders appear to be among the worst Addicts and offenders… From Top to Bottom, they are like Parasites on the Poor… They are paid to represent the People with Trust and Transparency, but every chance they get, they not only steal the Cookies, but they will try to put the whole Jar in their Pocket, while their People are dying from hunger and the lack of hope.
This chronic attachment is local and international, to the point where we saw a head of our Government, and a US President, being convicted as common criminals because of their love for Money… The addiction is contagious, but we are not supposed to see it and say it… Maybe, if we agree to be blind, deaf and dumb, they may postpone our victimisation, and toss a bone or some crumbs in our direction.
Using Their Religion to Seal Our Destruction:
Meanwhile, the innocent are dying from Drug Crimes, Social Conflicts and unnecessary Wars, all designed to steal Lands, Resources, and Wealth, that do not belong to them… These same Aggressors profess to be more religious than God, but show no remorse, regret or accountability... Their wickedness is already so prevalent, that unless there is significant push-back, it may be accepted as being the norm.
Sometimes we get discouraged when it is hard to find solutions and answers, and there are False Friends who will claim all the Credit, and none of the Blame... That should never stop us from trying, for this is a changing World, and we are all Students in the University of Life… Classes are always in session, and the Final Test will reveal whether we will plan, prepare and deliver, or simply remain busy doing nothing.
Rescue will not be easy, for Disciples are already preaching the condemnation of Modern Advances, and claiming to be readying for an imaginary Heaven, to collect their rewards for being as dumb and lost as sheep… They are busy condemning the Youth for made up failures, while they fail to realize that their own Beliefs are Slave Masters’ Doctrines; designed to limit our grown Adults to a Child’s mentality.
As Adults, we are responsible for both the Children and ourselves, so it is unfortunate when any of us replace reality with fantasy... Fact is, until AI and Robotics take over, this is still a ‘copycat World... The Children still learn from their Parents and Elders, and, for better or worse, they trust us unconditionally, on the assumption that we love them and will never lead then astray, so we cannot afford to fail them.
Changing Our Times, But Not Changing Our Ways:
From the Pains of Slavery to the Promises of Now, we were conditioned to accept excuses for abuses, and they are still expecting us to enter the New Year, preprogrammed to be fooled and ruled... We should know better... Hurricane Melissa and the antics of Trump have demonstrated the unpredictability of life, and we have seen the importance of planning and preparing for the forces of Nature and the failures of man.
For decades we confused Democracy with Capitalism, for, while Democracy implies ‘freedom of choice and majority rule, Capitalism is a Self-serving, Money-grabbing System… We have no National Currency, so as a British Territory, surrounded by US Countries, in the heart of the West Indies, we spend US Dollars, so, if the Dollar is devalued, we are caught in the same trap, with nowhere to turn and no way to run.
We manufacture nothing, and Inflation is all around us… Expenses are rising faster than incomes, and the more we try to stretch the Dollar and pinch the Penny, the faster they slip through our hands… Of course, Leaders never feel our pain, for they can place themselves above the People, and it is easy for them to gloat about the Taxes and Tariffs they collect, or other excuses to fatten their own Bank Accounts.
Government Dues are deducted from the Worker’s Wages long before he sees a penny from the strains of his labour... He exists from paycheck to paycheck, and may experience lean and hungry days... Where a Tree leans, there shall it fall, and while no one is born a Criminal, circumstances alter cases, and both Actions and Inactions come with Consequences... A Mission that is started wrong will seldom end right.
A New Year Resolution of Hope & Togetherness:
It is no surprise when a hungry man becomes an angry man, for where there is anger there is a greater potential for Crime and Violence... If we condition the Youth to lean in the wrong direction, due to our own ignorance and carelessness, then as they get older and bolder, they may become increasingly antisocial... This would be terrible, and our focus should be on preventing this long before it is likely to happen.
Today, we are at both the End and the Beginning, and while no one knows the future, the past year has been an extreme challenge… Freak Storms, Sargassum invasion, Crime and Violence, Mighty Nations taking advantage of weaker ones, Leaders destroying their Countries, the fall of the US Dollar, and the passing of so many Loved Ones, have made 2025 a rough year, and we are thankful to have survived.
It would be easy to dwell on things like the crazy weather and screwed up politics, or complain about things that should have been done, and things that should not have been done, but that would waste our time on regrets... Let’s not do that... Instead, let’s join together in healing Old Wounds, and preventing New Ones… The act of helping one another creates elastic bonds that stretch from the present to the future.
Many may ask what is in if for them, or complain that it can’t be done, but if I didn’t believe it, I won’t say it… Not everything is about Money, and I have no doubt that working together, will make it better for our Families, Friends and General Public... The lack of Money is best replaced by a kind deed that multiplies itself, so that the tiny Mole Hill becomes a Mountain of Goodwill… I Welcome you to a Progressive 2026.
