WEST END, Tortola, VI- International ferry arrivals that would normally be processed at the Road Town Jetty will be temporarily redirected to the West End Ferry Terminal, from Sunday, November 1, through Thursday, November 5, 2026.

This temporary relocation is necessary to facilitate essential health, safety and preventative maintenance works at the Road Town Jetty Building, the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) has said.

According to the BVIPA, this is a precautionary measure to address identified concerns and ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees, passengers and other users of the facility.

Disembark @West End

Arriving international ferry passengers will be required to disembark at the West End Ferry Terminal, where they will complete the necessary Immigration and Customs clearance procedures.

Following clearance, passengers will have the option to reboard the ferry for onward travel to Road Town or arrange appropriate ground transportation to their final destinations.

Departures from RT

All international ferry departures will continue from Road Town Jetty as usual. Departing passengers should report to Road  Town Jetty for their scheduled ferry services and are encouraged to allow additional travel time.

BVIPA said it is working closely with the relevant government agencies and ferry operators to ensure a coordinated transition and minimise disruption to passengers throughout the closure period.

The Authority added that it remains committed to maintaining safe and reliable port facilities while prioritising the health and well-being of employees and the travelling public.

Normal arrival processing at the Road Town Jetty is expected to resume on Friday, November 6, 2026, subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary works and confirmation that the facility is safe for occupancy.
