A key component of this initiative is the installation of a modern canopy system extending from the terminal building to the General Parking Lot’s designated drop-off and pick-up zones. This enhancement is designed to significantly improve the passenger experience by providing increased comfort, enhanced protection from sun and rain, and a safer, more seamless transition between the terminal and parking facilities.

During the construction period, travellers and visitors may encounter temporary access restrictions within sections of the General Parking Lot and the immediate front of the terminal building. Clear directional signage will be installed, and airport personnel will be available to assist motorists and passengers as necessary. All airport users are encouraged to allow additional time when travelling to and from the Airport during this period.

The Authority acknowledges that construction activities may cause some temporary inconvenience and sincerely apologises for any disruption. We greatly appreciate the public’s patience, understanding, and cooperation as we carry out these essential upgrades in the interest of long-term service improvement and enhanced passenger comfort.
