Our Forefathers never knew us when they fought and died for our Freedom, and it’s wise to expand our vision to learn from the mistakes of others... We have seen Nations, like the UK and US, become too broke to afford their own Social Services, but rather than seek solutions, they focus on blaming the same Immigrants whom they once used to enrich and promote themselves, as now being their new Enemies.

Some of us truly believe God takes care of idiots and children, but we ignore the saying that God helps those who help themselves…  Even before we were born, we were told to prepare for another world because this one will soon end, and if we believed in Christ, then he was coming soon – He still hasn’t arrived… Maybe, Heaven is really up in the Sky, so we’ll send up the Hubble Telescope to look around.

Last month they claimed it saw something so terrifying that they suspect Armageddon may finally be near… While anything is possible, the fact is, after the end, there will be nothing left, so it won’t matter… Now more than ever, our focus should be on preventing today’s manmade horrors, and preparing for the future… Unfortunately, we spend so much time planning for Heaven that we turned Earth into Hell.

This may apply to all oppressed People, but especially to Slave Descendants, because they had no one willing to save them, it became easy to accept Imaginary Friends, as Fathers and Saviors... By coupling this to a fear of Disobedience and Hell, we moved from being Nonbelievers, into becoming the most Religious Race; willing and ready to die for the Gods the Slave Masters gave us... As our Mental Slavery continues.

It’s Live & Learn, Or Blink & Burned:

Thanks to Master Trump’s Tariffs and Mistakes, we feel justified in playing the Blame Game, so we settle for talking a lot but doing a little… Instead of tightening our belts and putting our hands to the wheel, we seek to suck blood from stones with our Fees, Fines, and  Regulations… We watch as Major Companies leave the US because of bad Policies, but fail to grasp the importance of trying to safeguard our own.

If there was any doubt that our Private Sector is capable of managing themselves while supporting the Economy, we can look at the results following Irma and Covid-19… Except for Government Institutions, we have made major progress… Still, those of us who try to function without Government Handouts and Insider Trading are faced with impediments, stumbling blocks, and disruptive outsider micromanagement.

We are treated like Strangers in our own home, as if the intent is to make us fail... In that way, Foreign Interests can come in and buy out our hard-earned Investments and the future inheritance of upcoming generations... Before claiming Emancipation, we should know that in theory the Slaves were freed, but in short, things worsened, because they owned nothing… Luckily, they had the inbred tenacity to survive.

It’s not that we don’t know better – of course we do - but we simply ignore the consequences of our actions, and accept excuses for abuses… Subsequently, our problems recur time after time, and we are obliged to find solutions over and over… A Brother may have heard my concerns about the Police indiscriminate ticketing of drivers, and he provided an interesting perspective of the whole dilemma.

He essentially said that If the Government was so broke that they were using Traffic Tickets as a source of revenue, then the Government and Cops were making a bad situation worse… Such actions would suggest that because they wanted persons to break the law in order to collect Taxes, they deliberately provided no public transportation or parking areas; thereby forcing Persons to seek high-risk solutions.

I tend to agree with the sentiments of the Brother, especially when we consider that these are large and unnecessary fines for a victimless crime… A simple warning could work, but the Rich and Powerful don’t really care whether these drivers were there to quickly collect a few items, or that the $100 Tickets would mean that they could no longer buy the necessary Medicine, Food or School Supplies for their Children.

Deep In A Trance, Or A Reason To Dance:

We are all aware that these Emancipation Celebrations will only last a week, and most folks pay no attention or appreciation to the reason for the season… Many see it as a good excuse to get drunk and naked, and between TikTok and AI, it may not be long before the Children are ignorant of their History, and lose the Interest or Ability to choose between the Road to Freedom or the Highway back to Slavery.

We may be discouraged, but unless we provide the historical information; they may never know of the interruption within the dialogue, when their Ancestors were stolen from Africa and brought as Slaves to the West Indies… They called us lazy, when we were the ones doing all the work under bad conditions imposed by those claiming superiority; with the sole intent of reaping the Profit without doing the Work.

Later, when they were obliged to set us free, we were abandoned with the expectation that we would perish, for there was no doubt that the Virgin Islands was considered as having zero likelihood for survival, and even less of a chance for prosperity... Today, they look at us in awe, because while we may be the smallest, we are extra special… We are able to buy the Lands on which our Ancestors toiled and died.

Many were killed and buried in unmarked graves throughout the Period and Regions, but, there are still those who are focused on returning us to those days… It’s never over, when bad Leaders condone this by encouraging such Divestors to purchase V-Islanders Rights, through under-hand schemes, and a fist full of dollars… This may explain how the Wickham’s Cay Palmgrove Centre was stolen from the People.

We should be aware that as the value of the Dollar decreases, the value of Land increases, and it would be foolish to agree to the forced sale of our Wickham’s Cay Property... Unfortunately, our Children and their Children will be at risk for as long as Leaders and fake Friends, try to convince and discourage us from defending the ownership of our Properties, by telling us that we will eventually die and leave it behind.

This may sound wise to those foolish enough not to realise that everyone will face the kiss of death, and those advisers are the same ones most anxious to steal our Lands and Property, even before the Coffin is closed... Maybe they should take their own advice… Meanwhile, we should try seeing and hearing everything, but believing nothing, and trusting no one, until we triple-check them over and over for ourselves.

We have no wish to live like this, but it has become the only way to survive in a World where Leaders regard lying, deceit and willful Ignorance as qualifying Credentials... Maybe, you are just another victim... Just a good Person struggling to survive, and although you feel the Truths I speak, deep within your Soul, you were programmed to be too afraid or ashamed to admit this...  Maybe, in time, you’ll break the chains.
