‘I don’t know what to say’- 'Cindy' on Dameon Percival home scandal
Ms Rosan called the realisation of learning that Mr Percival may have reportedly lied about his legal representation a "heavy bullet" for her and insinuated that it may be damaging to her reputation, business, and the radio station as everyone "put themselves on the line”.
The genesis of the case stemmed from a public auction notice from The National Bank of the Virgin Islands (NBVI) in a June 22, 2023, Facebook post announcing that a property co-owned by Mr Percival will be up for sale via auction.
This prompted the proprietor of Tola Radio 100.5 FM, Mr Floyd Burnett aka ‘Heritage’, along with radio co-host Rosemary Cindy Rosan to start an emergency on-air telethon to save the home on June 29, 2023.
Some $30,000 was reportedly raised, which according to Percival was enough to save the home; however, in a shocking notice on August 18, 2023, the Bank announced that the house would be up for auction again on August 31, 2023.
Rosan on Tola Radio VI on August 21, 2023, said from the moment the funds were raised Mr Percival said one Denniston Frazer was his Attorney, however, Rosan has since claimed that Mr Frazer has declined it.
Ahead of the revelations, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) tried to reach Mr Percival through multiple platforms to no avail.
Unfolding nightmare – Rosan
Calling the situation an unfolding nightmare, Rosan added, “Up to Friday, Dameon is saying to me he’s dealing with the lawyer, the lawyer is dealing with the bank and no dealing at all seems to have been going on, and that’s what I know, I've been trying to get Dameon to say something.”
Rosan said that with so many things 'off' about the situation, she does not know what to believe anymore, “I don’t know what to say to people… I’m waiting to hear something from Dameon, something at all… anything at this point,” he added.
Meanwhile, Rosan said she will not lose grace over conversations coming back to her about the situation, given her pure heart.
“I put myself at the front, Heritage put himself… it's not only us, it's Tola Radio, its Guaveberry Media, because I’m attached to all of my brands, we put ourselves there and an entire community rallied around you,” she added.
Rosan called on Mr Percival to clear the air over the situation and to say something, “I help people all the time… this thing with Dameon, that is the first time I’ve done anything so public, and that was to really try to avoid an onslaught because I already do a lot in terms of assisting people,” she said.
