ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The BVI Airports Authority (the Authority) wishes to advise the motoring public that the Authority will be undertaking essential works at the Road Town Helipad, located adjacent to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

As a result of these works, the helipad and the surrounding areas will be closed to the public for parking, effective immediately and until further notice. This measure is necessary to ensure public safety and to facilitate the smooth and uninterrupted execution of the project.

Motorists are therefore asked to refrain from parking in and around the helipad area and to make use of alternative designated parking locations.

The Authority also encourages drivers to observe all posted signage and to follow the instructions of any authorised personnel in the area.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation as we work to improve this critical aviation and emergency infrastructure.
