Hasani Frett charged in relation to Sunday’s fatal shooting

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Police have charged an individual in relation to the fatal shooting in the vicinity of UP’s Cineplex early Sunday morning, February 12, 2023.

Hasani Frett, 37, of Greenland was charged for murder, inflicting grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Police have also confirmed VINO’s first and accurate story of February 12, 2023, that the individual shot dead is yet to be identified.

Female shot @ separate location

Police in a press release today, February 14, 2023, said a female also received gunshot wounds at a separate location early Sunday morning.

The RVIPF said the female is being treated for a wound to the leg at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital.

Detectives are asking persons who may know the identity of the male victim to come forward.

Sunday morning’s shooting death follows less than a week after the murder of Yan Edwards, 42 of Long Look who was pronounced dead at the scene of an establishment in Parham Town, East End. No one else was injured in this incident.

The RVIPF is seeking any information that could help with identifying the assailant or assailants in any of the recent murders. Persons can contact Crimestoppers tipline number anonymously at 800-8477 or +1 284 800-8477. Alternatively, persons can contact 368-9345.

      Tola so small, yet they can't identify an individual. So no one gone to claim the body. Nobody missing a relative or friend, no form of identification on this individual. He must be a Ghost! Well, I say let the darn RVIPF go do their darn work instead of trying to get people to be informants thus endangering their lives. It's really bad bad bad I say, when there is No trust in most of those people wearing RVIPF uniforms. They are not worth endangering your lives.

    Not surprising. Anyone is capable of doing anything. Also, nothing good can ever come from someone with a receded hairline.
