Guyanese ‘model’ who faked HIV results to spend 9 months in jail

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A Guyanese woman who had hired a man to obtain an HIV test in her name after arriving in the Virgin Islands in April 2019 has been sentenced to nine (9) months in jail.

Sentencing was handed down by Magistrate Ayanna O. Baptiste-DaBreo today, June 26, 2019.

Lolita Callender-Skelton aka ‘Lola Doll’, 28, had been charged with Conspiracy to Impersonate on April 26, 2019. She had appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the amount of $60,000 with $20,000 being cash. Unable to post bail, Callender-Skelton, who is said to be a model, was remanded to Her Majesty's Prison.

Her attorney Stephen R. Daniels had subsequently applied for a No case Submission but this was denied by the courts and the matter went to trial where the defendant was found guilty.

Some 6 persons had testified on behalf of the Prosecution while the Defense had no witnesses.

    Hmmn.. question is why was she afraid to do her HIV test? Could it be “wise up” that that food isn’t that good?.. pretty face and body doesn’t mean healthy.. some of the prettiest faces can be the most deadly- one cannot always tell what disease one is carrying by looking at them so nah let pretty face fool ya..

    I wonder why she had to go through all this to fake a test and prove a point?...since she had to prove a point to the world. Why don’t they allow her to seat the test again and let the world see the confirm result.

    First of all if she was 100% sure she was HIV NEGATIVE there wouldn’t have been a need to have someone do that test for her.. (FOOD FOR THOUGHT).. not everything that looks good “IS” good!!.. I say no more ..
