PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- The First Lady of the Virgin Islands, Carolyn M. Shallow-Wheatley is now a master’s degree graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI).

The wife of Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), Mrs Shallow-Wheatley has earned a Master’s Degree in Public Sector Management from the University of the West Indies.

According to the Office of the Premier, on October 27, 2026, Budget Day, Premier Wheatley “broke with protocol” to share a personal moment with his wife and First Lady.

“This is a proud accomplishment, and we join in celebrating this important milestone in her academic and professional journey,” the Office of the Premier stated.

‘Kisses for the Misses’

A proud Premier also posted a photo on his Facebook page of him giving a congratulatory kiss to his wife.

“Kisses for the Misses for mashing up the Master's. With merit, might I add...” Premier Wheatley wrote.
